CHAMPAGNE BRUT MILLESIME
GRAPE VARIETY
Pinot Nero 48% (Côte des Bar) and Chardonnay 52% (Côte des Blanc)
TASTING NOTES
Produced only in an exceptional vintage, from a unique vintage, the champagne D Millésimé 2009 is composed of Chardonnay from the Côte des Blanc and Pinot Nero from the Côte des Bar, selecting the best plots. The ideal climatic conditions of 2009 produced excellent ripening grapes. This great vintage is well balanced with great structure, lots of citrus and notes of dried fruit. This vintage Champagne ages for at least 10 years in the cellar, revealing all its complexity both on the nose and on the palate. It has an intense gold color with straw yellow reflections. Ripe fruit, juicy and powerful on the nose that can be perceived as soon as it is poured into the glass, underlined by elegant aromas. Expresses a high maturity of dried fruit and evident notes of brioche. A lot of freshness with a nice finish set on white fruits and citrus aromas. Very generous. A wine to be tasted now but which can rest in the cellar to develop in complexity and intensity. Key aromas: dried fruit, citrus, brioche. Since its inception, DEVAUX has only presented 7 vintages in the D Collection: 1996, 2000, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009. Champagne Devaux D Millésimé 2009 with its Gift Box can be a much appreciated present.
