TASTING NOTES
Pouilly-Fuissé is a wine made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes from the communes of Chaintré, Fuissé, Solutré-Pouilly and Vergisson. The grapes are hand-picked from plots in Vergisson, selected for their age and the quality of the terroir. After crushing, the juice is fermented: 40% in French oak barrels between 3 and 7 years old and 60% in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. The wine remains on the lees until June with periodic batonnage, then it is racked, blended, lightly filtered and bottled at the estate. Brilliant pale gold in colour, the nose reveals notes of oak, intense aromas of citrus, exotic fruit and white flowers. On the palate, it is powerful, supple and silky, with a good body and mineral and floral aromas.
