TASTING NOTES
Ferreira Porto Tawny 10 Years Old is a special wine, a Porto Tawny aged for 10 long years. The grapes, selected and picked by hand, are gently pressed and vinified according to the traditional Porto method. The wines selected for Ferreira Porto Tawny 10 Years Old remain in the Douro region after the harvest and are brought to Vila Nova de Gaia the following spring, where the traditional period of aging in oak barrels will begin. The final blend is obtained from wines aged between 8 and 15 years. It has a very intense tawny color. On the nose, the bouquet is characterized by an excellent balance between the quality of the grapes used (distinguishable in the floral and ripe fruit scents) and its aging time in wood (which gives the aroma of spices and dried fruit). In the mouth, the classic and fresh style of the Ferreira brand is evident, achieving a good balance between the different sensations in the body of the wine and in the long finish in the mouth.
