Le Rapide Extra Brut 2021 by Roberto Garbarino is a premium sparkling wine crafted using the traditional method within the Alta Langa DOCG appellation. This wine is distinguished by its blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir, sourced from vineyards situated at approximately 480 metres above sea level on calcareous-marl soils, enriched with sandy veins. The convergence of these elements imparts notable elegance and freshness to the wine. The 2021 vintage enjoyed favourable climatic conditions, featuring a regular flowering and consistent ripening of the grapes. Moderate summer temperatures facilitated a gradual maturation, crucial for the development of complex aromas and the maintenance of an optimal balance between acidity and sweetness. Consequently, the harvest was healthy and of high quality, reflecting the distinctiveness of the Alta Langa microclimate, known for its significant diurnal temperature variations that preserve the grapes' acidity. Le Rapide Extra Brut 2021 exhibits a luminous straw-yellow hue and a fine, persistent perlage. The nose offers a complex and captivating bouquet, featuring hints of rennet apple, jasmine, and honey, enriched by notes of bread crust that attest to the extended maturation on its lees.
