TASTING NOTES
BA.T is a Beerenauslese Sauvignon Blanc from the 2017 vintage. It perfectly reflects, both on the nose and in the mouth, the finesse of this vintage. Made from 70 percent healthy berries and 30 percent botrytized Sauvignon, the 2017 Beerenauslese BA.T offers a concentrated, spicy bouquet with lemony freshness and the clear purity of Ehrenhausen's predominant terroir. Vinified in steel and with an alcohol content of 13.9%, this is a remarkably clear, fresh, refined and elegant Beerenauslese with impressive concentration. Aromas of grapefruit, elderflower, citrus zest and mint. Refreshing acidity in the mouth. Perfect with fruit desserts, fresh cheeses, sweet omelets and crepes. It is a very long-lived wine and the 2017 vintage is to be uncorked from 2020 to 2035. Armin Tement said that "the 2017 vintage is probably the finest and most elegant one since 1990, with full maturity and lovely textures. The wines are crystal clear reflections of their particular origins, and I hope we do not have to wait nearly 30 years again to get another genius vintage."
