TASTING NOTES
Tiraki Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough 2024 is a dry, aromatic New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with a very typical Marlborough profile: tropical and citrus fruit wrapped in marked freshness and minerality. In the glass it appears a pale straw to light lemon with green highlights that emphasise its youth and vibrancy. The nose is intensely expressive, bursting with passionfruit, guava, peach, grapefruit and melon, alongside lime, green apple, kiwi and subtle wild‑nettle herbal notes for a concentrated, lifted bouquet. On the palate it is dry, vibrant and juicy: ripe tropical fruit gives weight and texture, while crisp acidity and a mineral edge stretch the wine out into a long, zesty, refreshing citrus finish. The grapes come from Marlborough at the northern tip of New Zealand’s South Island, a cool yet sunny region with strong diurnal shifts and free‑draining gravelly, sandy alluvial soils that favour aromatic concentration and high natural acidity. Tiraki’s vineyards lie in the Southern Valleys on these alluvial, well‑drained sites, with 12–30‑year‑old vines; picking starts in the cool of early morning, the fruit is gently pressed and the must ferments at low temperature in stainless steel to maximise aromatic precursors, followed by a short maturation on lees to add weight and mouthfeel. Tiraki Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough 2024 is ideal with raw seafood, shellfish, grilled fish, composed salads, light Asian dishes and fragrant vegetarian cooking. It is an excellent option for online wine shops as a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with intense tropical‑citrus character, strong reviews and a highly recognisable style, perfect for those who love fresh, aromatic, mineral whites.
