GRAPPA DI BAROLO
Tebavio -  Cru Sant'Anna
GRAPE VARIETY
Nebbiolo 100%
TASTING NOTES
Grappa di Barolo is obtained from the selected pomace of grapes from the vineyards of the L’Illuminata Estate. These are located at an average altitude of 250 meters above sea level facing south-west and lying on sedimentary soil of Miocene origin, calcareous and sandy. The pomace, delivered very fresh to the distillery, is immediately distilled with a discontinuous bain-marie distiller, which allows to grasp the different and very marked characteristics of the raw material used. The Barolo grappa of Tenuta L'IIlluminata is left to rest for four years in small oak barrels previously used for the aging of Barolo Tebavio. It is an austere grappa, full-bodied, rightly alcoholic, rich in aromas and esters acquired with aging; from the wood it has absorbed a slight color and ample bouquet. It is a meditation grappa of full breed and harmony, to be tasted after dinner with a tulip-shaped glass to enhance its aromas.
