Produced from Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes, this rosato arises from sandy and clay soils that impart a unique structure and persistent freshness. In the glass, it displays a bright salmon pink colour with subtle violet highlights that hint at its complexity. ORIGIN OF THE NAME
The name Donna Olimpia 1898 honours Olimpia Alliata, Lady of Biserno and wife of Gherardo della Gherardesca, who christened the estate in 1898 to mark their 25th wedding anniversary. This tale of love and tradition is deeply embedded in the winery's philosophy, which focuses on excellence and a profound respect for the terroir.
