TASTING NOTES
Vivaldi Brut Alto Adige Metodo Classico DOC is a refined non-vintage sparkling wine, masterfully produced in the heart of Alto Adige, amid the stark hills of Meltina near Bolzano, at over 1200 metres altitude on Montezoccolo. This unique area, at the crossroads of Val Sarentino, Val Passiria, and Val d'Adige, benefits from an ideal alpine microclimate for fizz: intense sunny days, strong nocturnal thermal amplitudes, and poor soils that gift the wines great acidity, freshness, and elegant minerality, making Alto Adige an excellence for metodo classico sparkling wines. Crafted from a balanced blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, and Pinot Nero, it follows the traditional Metodo Classico: bottle fermentation and prolonged lees ageing, imparting structure, fine persistent mousse, and unique complexity. Chardonnay brings fruity and floral notes, Pinot Bianco adds citrusy freshness and minerality, while Pinot Nero contributes body, spice, and pleasant salinity; the result is a versatile, age-worthy wine perfect for aperitifs, seafood, or light dishes. On the eye, bright straw yellow with greenish highlights, topped by fine foam and continuous perlage. On the nose, a delicate bouquet of yeast, ripe apple, crunchy citrus, bread crust, and alpine mineral hints. On the palate, it's fresh, balanced, and vibrant, with harmonious salinity, lively bubbles, and a clean, persistent finish. Vivaldi stands out for its exclusive dedication to metodo classico sparkling wines in three variants—Brut, Blanc de Blancs, and Rosé—thanks to a territory favouring optimal grape ripeness; it's a byword for South Tyrolean quality, ideal for those seeking elegant, authentic fizz from Alto Adige DOC.
